Hearts Will Be Revealed

Created in 2011, “Hearts will be Revealed” is a collage of painted cotton using fiber-reactive dye to paint the fabric. The piece is then sewn together into the organic image and shape revealing the center where we see what is truly in the heart. When the outer shell is worn away the thoughts of the heart will be revealed. The fiber sculpture measures 70×32 and when shown with it's drawing counterpart the full piece is 70×50.
The drawing was created using graphite and acrylic on cotton rag paper and is 14×11.
